The Health Professions Pathway is designed to prepare students to pursue medical, dental, pharmacy, physician assistant, and other health professions schools. The basic science courses parallel those found in the first year of health professions school or graduate school. You鈥檒l focus on building a strong foundation in health science courses, including anatomy, pathophysiology, biochemistry, genetics, and more. The curriculum is designed to improve听the foundation of knowledge and provide access to research, community service, leadership, and direct patient care experiences needed to strengthen your application. In addition, the curriculum includes standardized exam preparation to improve exam scores.
Larkin U has several affiliation agreements with U.S. Medical Schools and Caribbean Medical Schools. We also have a guaranteed interview agreement with LU Physician Assistant Program, LU Dental School (2027), and LU Medical School (2028).听 听Students are guaranteed interviews at these schools, provided they meet the professional school guidelines and minimum GPA requirements during the MBS program (more info at FAQs below).
The master鈥檚 degree in biomedical sciences consists of 33 credit hours taken over a 1-year period (3 semesters).

Larkin University has partnered with the (WAUSM) to offer a unique and exclusive pathway for aspiring physicians. Students who successfully complete the Biomedical Sciences program and meet eligibility requirements are guaranteed acceptance into WAUSM鈥檚 MD program鈥攏o additional interview required. This pathway provides a seamless transition from our student-centered, science-rich curriculum to WAUSM鈥檚 innovative, hands-on medical training in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Apply early to ensure funding is available for the 1st day of class. Students will not be permitted to attend class if tuition and fees are not paid.
